Definition Of Impeller

GB/T7021-1986 "Terminology of Centrifugal Pump"

Impeller (of a centrifugal pump)-a rotating body with blades that transfers energy to the liquid.

HG/T3186-1987 "Glossary of Centrifugal Compressor for Chemical Industry"

(Centrifugal compressor) Impeller-a component that concentrates work, it is composed of blades, discs, wheel covers and other parts; the gas gains energy in its flow channel.

GB/T3858-1993 "Hydraulic Transmission Terminology"

(Hydraulic coupling) Impeller-a working wheel with one or more rows of blades. It is divided into centrifugal impeller, centripetal impeller and axial flow impeller.

(Axial compressor) Impeller-a combination of moving blade cascade and wheel disc, which is the main part of the rotor. It is the component that directly transfers energy to the gas in the axial flow compressor.
