Overview Of Technical Standards And Installation Specifications For Centrifugal Fans

How much do you know about the technical standards of centrifugal fans? Are you familiar with their installation specifications? Knowledge of these two aspects affects the quality and installation of centrifugal fans, and even influences their use. Therefore, strict compliance is necessary during production, manufacturing, and installation. Let's delve into these two parts specifically. Stay tuned!

I. Technical Standards of Centrifugal Fans

The technical standards of centrifugal fans include:

Operating Standards

(1) Before starting, carefully inspect the connections of various parts of the fan, ensuring firmness and tightening loose bolts if any.

(2) Check for normal lubricating oil levels and ensure smoothness without blockages.

(3) Before starting, close the suction valve and then start the fan. After reaching the specified speed, open the suction valve.

(4) During operation, if any serious vibration, sudden abnormal noises, or abnormal increases in bearing or motor temperatures occur, stop immediately for inspection.

Maintenance Standards

Regularly inspect connection points, primarily bolts, and pins for looseness, tightening if needed. Generally, the lubricating oil should be changed every 3 to 6 months during operation.

Overhaul Standards

Maintenance cycle: Once a year; Overhaul cycle: Once every three years.

(1) Maintenance Content

a. Check the condition of bearings, couplings, and connection bolts, addressing any issues promptly.

b. Perform balance testing on the impeller.

c. Replace the main shaft and bearings. Repair damaged bases promptly.

(2) Overhaul Content

a. Includes maintenance content.

b. Replace impellers and bearing seats.

c. Adjust the clearance between the impeller and the casing.

d. Repair the casing.

(3) Overhaul Quality Standards

a. The fan's allowable level difference when placed on the base should not exceed 0.1mm per meter.

b. The gap between the impeller and the inlet should be uniform. In the static balance test after impeller assembly, the allowable remaining unbalanced weight should not exceed 10-20 grams.

II. Installation Specifications of Centrifugal Fans

During centrifugal fan installation, there should be adequate space and facilities. All required parts should be complete without omissions, including support beams, brackets, platforms, suspension rods, and fixing bolts.

(2) Spring-type vibration isolators must be installed, with a rated deflection of 40mm.

(3) Flexible joints should be installed between the fan and ducts. During operation, the fan's ends should be parallel. If not parallel, the eccentricity should not exceed 25mm.

(4) The fan can only be officially started after the ducts are cleaned, filters installed, bearings lubricated, and after test runs are completed.

(5) During on-site testing of the fan, personnel supervision and guidance are necessary. The measured airflow is the acceptance basis. The test time for a single unit is 1 hour, mainly measuring voltage, current, airflow, pressure, vibration displacement, noise level, etc.
